Model Studies
It would be worth it to make a list of each of the possible models that each generator can produce so we can come up with a good comparison list.
Pages to do this for each generator are below.
GENIE Models
NEUT Models
NuWro Models
GiBUU Models
Nuance Models
Draft table in progress. Caveats:
- For each flux configuration, generate muon neutrinos and muon antineutrinos (5 flux configurations corresponds to 10 total). Not generating nue, nuebar as these are negligible in the samples.
- Use latest MINERvA nu and nubar fluxes.
- Confirm if any additional correction is applied to T2K flux and post it (blame Kendall)
- Confirm if T2K analysis NuWro, GENIE versions differ significantly from any of productions below (Kendall)

Could each expert please add any details they think are relevant. If we come up up with a comprehensive list, we can then discuss which comparisons are actually worthwhile. If possible try to describe which model variations are reweightable and which are not so we can come up with a list of variations that require the least amount of MC files.
Current list of Comparison Suggestions
- Consider both qe and pion production
- Default “out-of-the-box” generator predictions. (vs. data or standard case)
- Simple RFG Model, BBBA05 CCQE, No MEC or RPA.
- Martini vs Nieves MEC (in GENIE and NuWro)
- Comparison with models used in each of the Detector MC, e.g. NuWro vs MINERvA GENIE MC, NEUT vs MINERvA GENIE MC, etc. (this is gold standard for me – Steve)
- Data comparisons with Bubble Chamber Data for Free Nucleon XSec
- Might also be useful to generate some flat flux MC, that we can weight to alternate flux predictions if needed.
